The Big Pun Project

Christopher Lee Rios, better known by his stage name Big Pun, was a Puerto-Rican American rapper who emerged from the underground rap scene in The Bronx in the late 1990s. Taken before his time at only 28 years old Big Pun is believed to be one of the most incredible emcees to ever hold a microphone. This project is to honour Big Puns legacy.

Stage 1:

We will create a larger than life 10-foot statue of the late Hip Hop legend BIG PUN. This will be crafted by some of the worlds most renowned sculptors and artists.

This will be scrutinized at every point to make sure every last detail is accurate and identical to showcase BIG PUN at his very best.

Stage 2:

Once complete the statue will be sent to our studio in New York where artists including TATS CRU will hand paint the life like statue.

We will lay out the background artwork for the mural that will sit behind the statue of BIG PUN creating a unique art installation bringing together street art and 3d statue art.

TATS CRU were close friends with BIG PUN and are solely responsible for the Murals BIG PUN would pose infront of, and the BIG PUN's billboards found around New York City . This ensures every last detail is taken care of by
the people that knew him best.

Stage 3:

The finished statue will then be shipped to the Bronx, New York City and placed at the famous BIG PUN avenue aka 163rd street.

The final stage of design will commence and the wall will be designed and painted by TATS CRU. The 10-foot statue will display as the centre piece in this unique street art installation.

This is where BIG PUN would pose for photos in front of his mural and which were featured on the inside cover of the platinum selling "Capital Punishment" album.
